New regulations on the licensing of herbal medicines; due to come into force on 1st May, 2011; mean that we have had to consider the future direction of JenniO Creations. We have, reluctantly, been forced into some far-reaching decisions.
The effect of these regulations would be to require us to obtain a Manufacturer's License, together with a Product License for each of the medicinal products which we wish to market. Each of these licenses would cost several thousands of pounds, and there would be ongoing costs on a regular basis. Even if we were to decide to offer only our two most popular medicinal products we would estimate that there would be an initial cost of around £20,000 for the licenses and, frankly, this is not a burden that we are prepared to place on the business.
The decision to cease manufacture of all products which are captured by the definition of 'herbal medicines' is, therefore, ineviatble and no more will be available after the new regulations come into force on 1st May. The most notable of these products are Kangaroo Balm and Sleepeasy. We would like to thank all of our many customers for their support over the years.
Many of our products are classified as Cosmetics rather than Herbal Medicines, and the new regulations will not affect these. However, Sleepeasy and Kangaroo Balm account for a very high proportion of our turnover and we have also decided that the Cosmetic range is not strong enough to exist without them. We will also be discontinuing Cosmetic products, together with any special formulae that we have manufactured for individual customers. WE WILL HAVE NO MANUFACTURING FACILITY AFTER THE END OF APRIL, NOR WILL WE BE SUPPLY ANY AROMATHERAPY PRODUCTS.
WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO FULFILL ORDERS RECEIVED BEFORE THEN BUT WE WILL NOT ISSUE ANY PRODUCTS AFTER THE END OF APRIL.
We have some good products in our range and if there is a company out there interested in taking on one or more of them we would be happy to discuss the matter. Please contact us in the usual way.
We also have a wide range of ingredients; mostly Essential Oils, of which we have a range of about 80. Quantities vary from very little to quite large. Ideally we would like to sell them as a job lot, but we would be prepared to discuss other options. Please contact us if you would like more details.

We have a subsidiary called FAMILY TREE SOLUTIONS, researching family Histories, and there is a link to that website at the foot of this page.
There is quite a lot of technical information on the JenniO Creations website and if there is any that you might find useful it would be a good idea to access and copy it as soon as possible. It will not be available for very much longer.The JenniO Creations website will change gradually to reflect the developments described above but will, eventually, merge with the FAMILY TREE SOLUTIONS website. The links to the Eshop will disappear almost immediately because we will be working to re-vamp this as the FAMILY TREE SOLUTIONS Eshop. It will be necessary, therefore, to telephone or email any orders that you may wish to place before the end of April.
